prepare for the coming of Christ. There is still time to awaken from the drowsiness of self-pity and unreasonable depression and go out to meet Christ with joy. There is still time to help others, to spread the Good News through our small and everyday acts of love, to pray for all those people suffering so terribly in so many parts of this world and to support them through prayers and material donations, etc. There is still time!" By Lufkin Dominican Nuns
the humanity of Jesus is not an inert, mechanical alphabet simply used to put the absolute into words. The interpreter himself speaks with his whole existence of flesh and blood. The picture, the parable which the man Jesus is, does not face, since the eternal prototype radiates in him, is perfected in him. It can do this because, in God, the eternal Son always was the eternal Father's self-offering and self-interpretation. To understand Jesus' word, which coincides with his existence, is to have access (and there is no other!) to the eternal trinitarian mystery of love. This is only possible in the Holy Spirit". By Hans Urs von Balthasar
(O weary, weary were the world,But here is all alright.)
The Christ-child lay on Mary's breast His hair was like a star.
(O stern and cunning are the kings, But here the true hearts are.
The Christ-child lay on Mary's heart, His hair was like a fire.
(O weary, weary is the world, But here the world's desire.)
The Christ-child stood on Mary's knee, His hair was like a crown,
And all the flowers looked up at Him, And all the stars looked down". "A Christmas Carol", By G.K. Chesterton.

Trying to make it easy for someone who find a little time to dine. This Ijournal is about as succinct as is possible for a long winded person like myself. If nothing else, enjoy the dessert. This veggie got it's start when my eye caught sight of a card on the table at church. After flipping it over and seeing it was a prayer for Advent by a saint whose works aren't very familiar to me, the decision was made to bring the prayer card with me to the Adoration Chapel. It was there that her prayer was transformed into a poem that could be shared in an Ijournal entry. The next day in the chapel a revision occurred, so here is the finished product. It's probably been a year or so, since some material by St. Hildegard of Bingen was downloaded and briefly scanned. Seems now is the time to revisit something of hers, as she is the Saint befriending me at present. A couple of months ago it was St. Augustine. Who is befriending you? It is good to constantly fraternize with the saints, they are stepping stones in the right direction. The Veggies in an upcoming Ijournal entry will explore more about this.

SHB= Mary, O luminous mother, holy healing art!
💫tmm= A great blessing through you, God did to us so mercifully impart
SHB= Eve brought sorrow to the soul
💫tmm= Our future became marred in countless ways untold
SHB= But by your holy Son you pour balm on death's wounds and travail
💫tmm= Bringing hope for salvation, a joy that lifts the veil
SHB= You have indeed conquered death!
💫tmm= Praise God, we no longer have reason to be disquieted or feverishly to fret
SHB= You have established life! Ask for us life.
💫tmm= That with an abundance of grace we'll be able to overcome spiritual strife
SHB= Ask for us radiant joy.
💫tmm= May God graciously grant this through His Begotten Divine son, your holy baby boy
SHB= Ask for us the sweet
💫tmm= And graces for all the difficulties along the that way we shall meet
SHB= Delicious ecstasy
💫tmm= Never departing but romancing our souls for all of eternity
SHB= that is forever yours.
💫tmm= Now bequeathed to all responding to the call staunchly marching through sacred doors
SHB= Amen
💫tmm= Amen & Amen
