Dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary
"Mary’s throne, like that of her Son, is the Cross. During the rest of her life, until she was taken body and soul into Heaven, what most impresses us about her is her quiet presence. St Luke, who knew her well, describes her as being close to the first disciples, in prayer. This was the way she lived to the end of her days on earth, she who was to be praised by all creatures for all eternity.
What a contrast between Our Lady’s hope and our own impatience! So often we call upon God to reward us at once for any little good we have done. No sooner does the first difficulty appear than we start to complain. Often we are incapable of sustaining our efforts, of keeping our hope alive. Why? Because we lack faith. ‘Blessed art thou for thy believing; the message that was brought to thee from the Lord shall have fulfillment". (Friends of God, 286

⚫️ "Work and sacrifice yourself only for the glory of God.... If, even after all of your best efforts, failure seems to be the result, accept this generously. A failure gracefully accepted by an apostle, who has used all the means available to succeed, may be more beneficial for salvation than a victory. Let us always work generously and humbly; let us try not to look immediately for the fruits of our labor.... Remember that saving the world has never been easy, not even for the Son of God, not even for the Apostles". By St. Gianna
🔴 "Do not fear the dangers you see far ahead… Have a firm overall intention, my son, to want to serve and love God with all your heart, and beyond that do not take thought for the future. Just think about doing good today, and when tomorrow comes, it will be called today, and then you can think about it". By St. Padre Pio
⚪️ "That is the way Jesus is always conceived. That is the way He is reproduced in souls. He is always the fruit of heaven and earth. Two artisans must concur in the work that is at once God’s masterpiece and humanity’s supreme product: the Holy Spirit and the most holy Virgin Mary… for they are the only ones who can reproduce Christ". By Archbishop Luis M. Martinez, Servant of God
🔵 "You will be consoled according to the greatness of your sorrow and affliction; the greater the suffering, the greater will be the reward.” By St. Mary Magdalene de' Pazzi
The Veggies
Recently God brought something to my mind that afforded me great comfort. He communicated that He is "reasonable". To hear and meditate on that attribute of God, was truly transforming. Never before had it occurred to me to think of this term in reference to God. This ministered tremendously to my spirit. In encountering various difficulties from day to day in regards to my aunt's illness, as she has been in ICU for over a month, and counting, this is a stabilizing force to anchor me when the going gets tough. It is so helpful in keeping my spirit elastic, for we have to stretch and not be uptight. Whenever something happens that God allows, it comes to mind that God is not unreasonable. If he is allowing something, it's working some good, and payday is in sight, or around the corner. What is unreasonable and without purpose, He will surely shield us from that, and will write straight with crooked lines. Meditating and being mindful of this fact, spurred me to write this "Dear God" letter. The following was written in church after Mass and completed at home.
Dear God,
We're coming to you, saying please, please O God, help us. Thank you, thanking you whole heartedly, for bringing this important fact to mind that you are reasonable, very, very, reasonable. This inspires and lifts me up tremendously, something that you know quite well. For you see and known all things, as every hair on our head is counted.
Matthew 10:26-33 "Courage Under Persecution. “Therefore do not be afraid of them. Nothing is concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known. What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light; what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops. And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna. Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s knowledge. Even all the hairs of your head are counted. So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Everyone who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father. But whoever denies me before others, I will deny before my Heavenly Father"
We seek help, and find rest in your peace, because you are very reasonable. Can anyone be more reasonable in dealing with us? No, not one, not one.

Deuteronomy 33:26 ""There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides across the heavens to help you and on the clouds in his majesty"
With heart and mind turned towards you, something happens, confidence begins to exude because of your great mercy. Your touch is definitely tangible.

Jeremiah 31:3 "Jehovah appeared of old unto me,'saying , Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
If one can't believe and feel the realness of your love, then it is mercy that should snag one's attention. Your revealed mercy, is a safety net that is a 'catch all" for the great and small alike. All who seek you, not one, can hit rock bottom or be beyond your reach, therefore, no heed to ever fall into despair.

1 Peter 3:12 " For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil."
What may slid past love, Divine Mercy swoops up in a second. In your reasonableness O God, you have something good in store for all of us.

Philippians 2:13 "for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose"
A happy heart for your children is a result of their trusting in your great mercy and reasonable response to our pleas and sighs. What love dear Father, you have for His own creation. We can't lose but win by imploring your help and abiding in your merciful love.
📖 Ephesians 1:4-6 "Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved"

📌 THE “REST” OF THE STORY
Why did Jesus say “for 6000 years” He has had to battle? Recall the words of St. Peter in addressing the question of why the return of the Lord seemed to be delayed:
2 Peter 3:8 "But do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years* and a thousand years like one day"
The Early Church Fathers applied this Scripture to the history of mankind since the creation of Adam and Eve. They taught that, as God labored to make creation in six days and then rested on the seventh, so too the labor’s of men in participating in God’s creation would last 6000 years (ie. “six days”), and on the “seventh” day, man would rest.

They taught that, as God labored to make creation in six days and then rested on the seventh, so too the labor’s of men in participating in God’s creation would last 6000 years (ie. “six days”), and on the “seventh” day, man would rest.
Hebrews 4:9 "Therefore, a sabbath rest still remains for the people of God"
But rest from what? From the tension between his will and God’s:
But rest from what? From the tension between his will and God’s:
Hebrews 4:10. "And whoever enters into God’s rest, rests from his own works as God did from his"
This “rest” is further enhanced by the fact that Satan will be chained during that “seventh” day, and the “lawless one” destroyed:
This “rest” is further enhanced by the fact that Satan will be chained during that “seventh” day, and the “lawless one” destroyed:
Revelation 20:1-7 "He seized the dragon, the ancient serpent, which is the Devil or Satan, and tied it up for a thousand years and threw it into the abyss, which he locked over it and sealed, so that it could no longer lead the nations astray until the thousand years are completed… they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for [the] thousand years"
So, we must not think of this as “new” as in a new doctrine, for this was taught by the Church Fathers from the beginning that a “temporal kingdom” would come, spiritual in nature, symbolized by the number a “thousand”:…when His Son will come and destroy the time of the lawless one and judge the godless, and change the sun and the moon and the stars—then He shall indeed rest on the seventh day… after giving rest to all things, I will make the beginning of the eighth day, that is, the beginning of another world. —Letter of Barnabas (70-79 A.D.), written by a second century Apostolic Father
…as if it were a fit thing that the saints should thus enjoy a kind of Sabbath-rest during that period, a holy leisure after the labors of six thousand years since man was created… (and) there should follow on the completion of six thousand years, as of six days, a kind of seventh-day Sabbath in the succeeding thousand years… And this opinion would not be objectionable, if it were believed that the joys of the saints, in that Sabbath, shall be spiritual, and consequent on the presence of God… —St. Augustine of Hippo (354-430 A.D.; Church Doctor), De Civitate Dei, Bk. XX, Ch. 7, Catholic University of America Press
As Jesus says to Luisa Picarretta: This is the meaning of Fiat Voluntas tua: “Thy Will be done on earth as it is in heaven” —that man return into My Divine Will. Only then will She become calm — when She sees her child happy, living in his own home, enjoying the fullness of his blessings. —from Luisa’s diaries, Vol. XXV, March 22nd, 1929; Saints in the Divine Will by Fr. Sergio Pellegrini, with the approval of the Archbishop of Trani, Giovan Battista Pichierri, p. 28; nb. “She” is a personified way of referring to the “Divine Will”. This same literary form is used in Scripture where “Wisdom” is referred to as a “she”; cf. Prov 4:6
Church Father Tertullian taught this 1900 years earlier. He speaks at the recovery of that state of sanctity that was lost in the Garden of Eden: We do confess that a kingdom is promised to us upon the earth, although before heaven, only in another state of existence; inasmuch as it will be after the resurrection for a thousand years in the divinely-built city of Jerusalem… We say that this city has been provided by God for receiving the saints on their resurrection, and refreshing them with the abundance of all really spiritual blessings, as a recompense for those which we have either despised or lost… —Tertullian (155–240 A.D.), Nicene Church Father; Adversus Marcion, Ante-Nicene Fathers, Henrickson Publishers, 1995, Vol. 3, pp. 342-343)
One of the titles of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the “City of God.” Likewise, the Church will bear this title more fully when she enters the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart. For the City of God is where His Divine Will reigns."

Book: “Sobornost- Experiencing Unity of Mind, Heart and Soul", by Servant of God, Catherine de Hueck Doherty
Excerpts from the book:
“Slowly, yet inexorably, a new Russian word is making its way into the English language. It is sobornost (pronounced so•bor’•nost). This word is familiar to those who follow Eastern Christian spirituality. Literally, it means unity. Sobornost is you and me constantly listening to God and, with an open heart, asking him, “What is your will?” Sobornost is achieved by intense and constant prayer. And when we begin with the mystery of love, then sobornost functions almost automatically. As I explained to our members, if we are united on why we are here and who brought us here (God), then through our communication and through our communion with the Holy Eucharist, unanimity will normally reign on things that are of the mystery of sobornost. We’re not going to decide in sobornost if we need 15 yards of cloth or 20—that’s for the intelligence to discuss.
Sobornost deals with grave or big decisions in the sense of things that can make or break an apostolate or a family. Sobornost deals with things of the spirit, of God. In the daily decisions it is presumed that we will trust the decisions of authority. Someone then asked if sobornost and authority include each other, I explained that nothing changes in “the exterior setup of the way a community is governed. For sobornost is within; it simply brings the Trinitarian concept of love to each person who is part of a believing “community".
What would be important would be that authority would love as the Father loves and would give itself as the Father has given the Son for our salvation. So the authority in sobornost would be both the “suffering servant” of the Lord God:
Isaiah 52:14 "Even as many were amazed at him--so marred were his features, beyond that of mortals his appearance, beyond that of human beings"
and the “person of the towel and the water” Jesus Christ.
and the “person of the towel and the water” Jesus Christ.
John 13:4 "he rose from supper and took off his outer garments. He took a towel and tied it around his waist"
In a word, authority would be the servant of all, willingly crucified for the needs of all. For authority would be in love with God and people.
The members of such a community, functioning within the ideal of sobornost, would likewise be loving servants of one another. Together, both authority and members would be constantly alerted to and aware of one thing: that they are not many, in a manner of speaking, but only one in the Lord. In this sense we would achieve a unity of opinion about all questions regarding community life, from the smallest to the most grave. This might take time at first, but as we become more one with that stream that comes from the depth of the Trinity, time too, will cease to exist. Or to put it another way, we will “resolve our problems faster because we will love one another more and be more united.
Sobornost is a whole way of life. The more we grow in love, trust and understanding of one another, the more obviously sobornost will be evident in us. Hence this love and unity will make decisions very easily, considering them secondary to the way of life induced by the concept of sobornost. For we shall trust one another, and get together ‘in’ sobornost when grave spiritual matters are before us, and only then. The rest of the time we will exist in a Trinitarian love, friendship and understanding. So in matters of sobornost we don’t adopt parliamentary procedure, for it is not a question of causing the opinion of the majority to triumph, but of adopting the truth of God’s will in the matter at hand. We do this by the tremendous grace that binds us in love to one another. We stand witness to the truth, which is often hidden in our hearts and which comes forth when we prepare ourselves, in prayer and fasting, to arrive at sobornost.
In sobornost nobody can separate us. That doesn’t mean that you cannot be a Republican and I cannot be a Democrat. But it means that you and I are one in Christ in a totality of unity, based on faith. Sobornost is deeper and holier; sobornost is total kenosis (self-emptying) and surrender to God, and through God to other persons.
Sobornost is a unanimous decision by a group on a weighty subject—especially spiritual—where time is not of the essence. It is a deep unanimity that comes through prayer, and sometimes through fasting, as well. The most perfect unity exists in the Holy Trinity. It also existed between God and human beings, before the fall of Adam and Eve. As long as they did the will of God, they were in unity with him. The divine and the human were united in one tremendous bond of love. But there was a break in that unity. The break occurred because man broke that unity. Yet, even though he destroyed it, he has hungered for it through all the ages.
The greatest wound a human soul can experience is the lack of sobornost with Christ. When a soul is not united with Christ’s soul, it is fragmented. Through the incarnation, suffering and resurrection of Christ has come the immense gift of reunion, of renewed friendship with God. Sobornost is again established through Baptism and it is nourished by the Eucharist. Both of these sacraments seal God’s unity with man, and man’s unity with God.
Here I am trying to explain the unexplainable because, factually, sobornost is a mystery. It is deeply hidden in the heart of God and it is given to man as total gift. Yes, it is a mystery; and the only way to pierce God’s mysteries is by praying to him, listening to his voice, and doing his will.”
